The field recordings are the core of the composition hidden safely there to be found, surrounded by
tunes from instruments (main instrument the Moog Matriarch) improvised on those field recordings. A sudden clicks caused by a switch while recording become 4 audible clicks and fit the “Chippai” idea.
In general
Dissonant music is music with “twisting” or “clashing” sounds (note harmonies) that create tension,
unease, or sharpness, as opposed to harmonious (consonant) music, which creates tranquility. This
tension often requires a resolution with a consonant, although modern music uses dissonance more
independently, and its perception depends on style, culture, and period. Dissonance is not the same
as being out of tune, but a deliberate choice to achieve a specific effect, such as jarring or dramatic.
